BMW has launched the 330i in India thus diversifying the engine portfolio of the 3 Series in our market.  Available in two exclusive design schemes: Sport Line and M Sport Edition, the car costs Rs. 42.4 lakh and Rs. 44.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. With this addition, the BMW 3 Series will now be available in four diesel variants – BMW 320d Prestige, BMW 320d Luxury Line, BMW 320d Sport Line and BMW 320d M Sport and two petrol variants – BMW 330i Sport Line and BMW 330i M Sport Edition. The new BMW 330i is locally produced at BMW Plant Chennai and can be ordered from BMW dealerships from today onwards. The BMW 330i will be available in Alpine White as a non-metallic colour and Black Sapphire as a metallic colour. The Mediterranean Blue in metallic is available in Sport Line.




The exterior sees kidney grille slats in high-gloss black while the cabin contrasts between black and red and gets sporting chromo scaling at console, red contrast stitching on the sport steering wheel and a basic decorative trim strip in high-gloss black with coral red accentuated strip. There are a range of upholstery combinations available in the 330i but of course it depends on the trim you’re buying. So, on the Sport Line you get Sensatec Black/Red highlight, Black and Sensatec Veneto Beige and Veneto Beige. The M Sport features Leather Dakota Saddle Brown/Brown highlight with Bi-color instrument panel,  Black, Leather 'Dakota' Veneto Beige/Oyster dark highlight, Veneto Beige/Black and Leather Dakota Black/contrast Blue stitching.


FULL FEATURES/SPECIFICATION

  • On the inside, door of the new BMW 330i Sportline come with sill finishers in aluminium with "BMW" designation, Sports seats with Sensatec Black, Sport leather steering wheel with Red contrast stitching, Car key with Red detailing, Instrument cluster with speedometer and revolution counter with chronoscaling and red contrast ring.
  • Moreover, it also gets Air conditioning and radio control unit with chrome detailing, Interior trim finishers in Black high-gloss with accent in Coral Red matt or Interior trim finishers in Fine-wood trim 'Fineline' Anthracite with accent in Pearl Chrome and Orange or white variable Ambient light. 

Safety Features:
  • On the safety front, the BMW 330i gets six airbags with three-point seats belts, ABS with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) along with ISOFIX.
  • In terms of safety, the BMW 3 Series 330i versions get Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), ISOFIX , three-point seat belts and 6 airbags.



The M Sport package comes fitted with the M aerodynamic package and 18-inch M star spoke alloy wheels along with M badging on the front wings. The cabin features a sporty cockpit design with M leather steering wheel and there’s also BMW’s Heads-Up display which is quite intuitive.


The latest generation BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine finds its way into the 330i and we know how powerful and responsive it is. It produces  248 bhp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,450 – 4,800 rpm. 0 to 100 kmph is dealt with in just 5.8 seconds while it tops out at 250 kmph. BMW claims that the 330i returns a fuel economy figure of 16.05 kmpl which is pretty impressive. The new BMW 3 Series also features an Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration and many other innovative technologies.

Sending power to the wheels is the 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission which delivers power smoothly. The 330i also gets a Launch Control function as standard. On the safety front, the BMW 330i comes with 6 air bags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Side-impact Protection, ISOFIX child seat mounting, Runflat tyres with reinforced sidewalls, emergency spare wheel, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor. The new BMW 3 Series also features an Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration and other such technologies.
