Nokia wants to update 3310
HMD Global is planning a new variant of its new model of the Nokia 3310 (A feature phone). A new feature phone has been certified by USA Federal Communications Commission with a model number TA-1036. Since the model number is close to that of the present Nokia 3310 model - TA-1030, it is reported to be one of the variants.
We found a report on the Nokia staff website that the length and width mentioned in the FCC document 51mm also match those of the 2017 version of the Nokia 3310. The certification suggests the handset to support 2G/3G connectivity in the US. Although there is no confirmation about the particular model by HMD, the company licensed to manufacture Nokia-branded handsets, the former company's Nokia. We have been listening to what consumers say, and what they need to ensure that devices will be compatible across the world. That is something consumers have been asking, and we are very keen on meeting consumers' expectations going forward," he said when asked about the 3G Nokia model.
We don't know when the particular variant will see the light of the day, or if at all it will. However, rumours around the web suggest the particular 'new' Nokia 3310 model to arrive alongside the upcoming Nokia 8 smartphone
While, HMD Global has started sending out invites for the launch of its upcoming smartphone on August 16. The invite reads, "exclusive gathering" to check out "the next milestone for Nokia phones." The invite does not reveal which smartphone will be launched but as per speculations the company may launch Nokia 8.
